About Our Church

We value Reformed theology. We believe God has foreordained all things from eternity past. We believe all humans are dead in their sins and that salvation is a sovereign and merciful act of God’s grace alone. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone according to the Scriptures alone and to God be the glory alone!

We value a covenantal view of salvation history. We believe God is moving all of world history toward its foreordained conclusion by means of covenants. The Old Testament covenants find their culmination in the New Covenant inaugurated by Christ in his death. All who are brought into this New Covenant are those who have been sovereignly called by God to place their faith in Christ for salvation and forgiveness of sins.

We value a high and biblical view of manhood, womanhood, marriage, and the family. We believe marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman for a lifetime and that divorce is never pleasing to God. We believe men are given the responsibility to lead within the family, church, and society. Within the family, men have a God-given responsibility to govern, materially provide for, shepherd, protect, and minister God’s Word to his family. Women have a God-given responsibility to graciously submit to their husband’s leadership and authority, to be his helpmate, and make caring for the home and family their highest priority.

We value practicing simple, reverent, and biblical church worship. We believe God has ordered in his Word what must be done in corporate worship, and we must not add or subtract from this. When the saints gather for corporate worship on the Lord’s Day, we literally enter our King’s throne room and stand in his presence. Thus, worship must be approached with reverence and awe. We believe God requires his people to gather on the Lord’s Day for corporate worship.

We value deep expositional preaching and teaching of God’s Word, believing that humans are created to fully know and worship God. This can only be done through the preaching and teaching of the “whole counsel of God.” We believe in teaching not just what tickles the ear but also what pricks the heart and leads us to repentance.

Above all, we value striving to love God supremely and love our neighbors deeply. We want to be a church that is extreme in our pursuit of holiness and genuine in our love for one another and for the lost. We pray those who visit with us will see and feel the love of Christ flowing to us, through us, and onto others.
